Welcome to the Population Studies Program at the University of Hawaii.

Established in 1969, the Program was designed for students who wish to understand population processes and to develop special competence in applying the concepts and tools of their discipline and those of demography to the inter-relationships between population and health and social, cultural, and economic change.

The program offers a graduate certificate intended primarily for advanced degree candidates in other programs or departments in the university. The graduate program is jointly offered by the University of Hawai‘i and East West Center, and administered by the Office of Public Health Studies.
