Research Areas
Meda Chesney-Lind is a nationally known criminologist whose areas of specialization include female delinquency, programming for girls in the juvenile justice system, women and crime and issues of women's imprisonment. She is currently working on a book challenging the notion that today's girls are more violent and "mean" than girls in previous decades. She has also been working at both the state and national levels to address issues of more gender responsive programming for girl and women offenders.Representative Publications
