  • I know my computer has a problem, who do I contact?
    Contact the Computer Support office at 956-6017 and explain in detail what's wrong or log in at the "Job Request" page and post a job.

  • How come my computer doesn't start up?
    Check to see that your computer is plugged in securely and has power.

  • How come my printer doesn't work?
    Check to see that your printer is on and make sure the cables are properly attached. If you are on a network, check to see that the network is active.

  • How come I can browse the internet?
    Make sure your computer is connected to the data jack (wall). Check with the support office to see the network is down.

  • My network is down, what can I do?
    Check with the support office.

  • How come I can't receive or send out email?
    Your network may not be active. Call our support office and let us know what the situation is. Tell us the type of application you are using to check your mail.

  • I would like to purchase software for my computer.
    If you want software for a College owned computer, check with the Computer Support systems manager to see if the software needed is available. If you have a personal computer, you may go to the bookstore and purchase software at an educational discount.

  • Can I load personal software on the computer the College let me use?
    Majority of the time the answer will be "no", but you may ask for permission from the Computer Support systems manager.

  • How do I know if I have a virus on my computer?
    You may experience unordinary events, lose internet access, computer starts slowing down or your virus application notifies you.

  • Should I try and fix my computer that's been infected with a virus?
    The best solution may be to turn off your computer, unplug your network cable and notify computer support.
