Usage of Web Sites

Departmental

On the departmental level, the Web Development Team has created a content management system to update individual faculty or staff pages online. These individual pages are set with various fields that help keep departments consistent. Members can log in through a web browser at the People site and post general information about themselves. If they want to add more than the site offers, they can create their own personal site through UH ITS.

 

Personal

Personal web sites should be developed through UH Information Technology Services (ITS). Please visit http://www.hawaii.edu/personalhp (Creating Personal Homepages) for more information. This page will give you enough information to get you started with your own web site. Have your UH username and password ready. ITS allows 20MB of web space. You have the freedom to post almost anything on your own page, but there are University home page policies that you need to follow.
